Simbambili’s 9 spacious suites each sleep 2 and are designed to blend into the woodland landscape, each featuring a private deck, plunge pool, and shaded sala bed. All the suites offer the modern luxuries one would expect for a comfortable stay, including free-standing baths and twin vanities. For extra exclusivity, the Honeymoon Suite and Waterhole Suite are larger and more secluded, featuring their own indoor lounges and a romantic outdoor shower in the Honeymoon Suite.

Reaching Simbambili Game Lodge in the Sabi Sand Game Reserve is effortless, with travel options designed for comfort and efficiency.

Hoedspruit Airport (HDS): Our primary gateway, located up to 2 hours drive from the lodge. We are happy to arrange a private road transfer to meet you at arrivals.

Arathusa Airstrip: For the ultimate arrival, fly directly to this private air strip leaving you just minutes from our front door.

Our frequently asked questions

  • Daytime summer temperatures (September – April) are high and may soar above 36°C/97°F. Evenings and early mornings are warm.
  • Winters (May – August) have chilly nights and crisp early mornings (minimum 3°C/38°F). The days are fine and warm.
  • Rainfall occurs predominantly in the summer months from October to April in the form of magnificent late afternoon / evening thundershowers.

The dress code is informal and neutral colors are recommended. A warm jacket / scarf and beanies for winter and evening safaris. Comfortable walking shoes, a bathing costume, binoculars, camera and video camera. Sunhats, sunscreen, and sunglasses.

The lodges are situated in a low-risk malaria area. Precautions are taken annually to treat the lodges and minimize risk. We recommend you consult your medical practitioner on anti-malaria prophylactics.
