Getting to Thornybush

Your Journey Begins Here

There are several easy ways to reach your Thornybush lodge. Fly from Johannesburg or Cape Town, arrive by private charter, or enjoy the flexibility of a self-drive through the Lowveld. Below you’ll find everything you need to know before travelling to your lodge at Thornybush Nature Reserve or Sabi Sand Nature Reserve.

In the Heart of the Bush

Our Thornybush lodges are set within the renowned Thornybush Nature Reserve and Sabi Sand Nature Reserve. Both lie along the western edge of the Kruger National Park, forming part of the Greater Kruger ecosystem.

Sabi Sand sits to the south, bordering Kruger along the Sabie River, while Thornybush is positioned slightly further north, adjacent to Kruger near Hoedspruit. Although they are separate private reserves, they are relatively close to one another and share the same open wilderness.
