Stargazing

Activity Overview

Stargaze under the African night sky

Far from city lights and urban glow, Thornybush night skies reveal an extraordinary canvas of stars, planets, and constellations stretching across the wilderness overhead.

Many guests end their evenings gathered around the fire or lingering outside after dinner, quietly looking up at some of the clearest and most breathtaking skies in Africa.

If you ask your guide after dinner or during an evening drive, they will often happily point out the Southern Cross, visible planets, seasonal constellations, and stories woven into the southern skies.

It is one of those quieter, more reflective safari moments guests rarely expect – and often remember long after they leave the bush.
